HOUSING INSECURITY AND COMMUNITY PROTECTION
Humanity360’s unit on Housing Insecurity and Community Care explores the challenges of homelessness and highlights efforts being made to provide stability and support in cities across the U.S.

Students learn about the work of the Downtown Women’s Center, an award-winning organization located on Skid Row in Los Angeles. The Center offers women essential services through a day clinic as well as permanent housing for more than 100 residents.

Through stories from this organization and the experiences of its residents, students reflect on shared humanity and consider ways communities can provide care and create opportunities for stability.
